The furniture for the kitchen was from Stoneham’s Knole range, allowing endless possibilities for a totally bespoke design. In Dove Grey, the cabinetry’s simple uncluttered lines, square shoulders and smooth painted centre panels complement the elegant Corian work surfaces. A large island with incorporated breakfast bar, belongs to the Ightham range in Anthracite Oak, and is the centrepiece of the kitchen, providing the perfect spot for dining with family and friends.
A distinctive characteristic of the kitchen is its ambient, atmospheric lilac RGB lighting lining the worktop edges. To add to its uniqueness, Stoneham’s unrivalled curved drawers frame the kitchen and sweep from corner to corner, giving the appearance of a classic kitchen but also providing a practical design for greater movement. An external convex corner also accommodates the small preparation sink. Furthermore, the feature canopy incorporates sophisticated, hidden extraction adding a modern touch to the classic design.
To the rear of the room, by the small sink, a tea and coffee making area has been added, and black mirrors fronted onto floor to ceiling cupboards reflect light in the darker parts of the kitchen giving the illusion of more space throughout.
Overall, the clients’ particularly adore the curves of the kitchen and are overjoyed with how these contours make the kitchen design so rare when compared to the many other square, sharp kitchens they have come across.
